Brian Pillman Jr unveiled on NXT, explains why he got a new name

Brian Pillman Jr was revealed officially last night in a promo which aired during NXT but Pillman explained the reason why he’s now going to get a new name.

The awesome promo showed Pillman saying that while everyone has fond memories of his dad, he doesn’t as he was just four years old when he died. He tried to get away from the business that gave him the most pain but after trying other careers, he just couldn’t escape wrestling.

Pillman said he’s “no one’s junior” and when fans sees him, he wants them to think about him, not his father.

“And from this day forward, I am going to take on the last name of the real man who raised me, the real father figure in my life,” he said. “And his name was King. And now so is mine.”

WWE recently trademarked the name Lexis King, who will be Brian Pillman Jr’s new name. Brian’s sister, Lexi, passed away in a car accident in 2009.

You can see the promo below.
