Drew McIntyre cast in The Killer’s Game movie with Bautista in the leading role

The reason Drew McIntyre is missing next Monday’s Raw is because he will be busy filming a movie from director JJ Perry.

The Scotsman was unveiled as part of the cast of the movie The Killer’s Game, which features former WWE champion Dave Bautista in the leading role. The ensemble cast also includes Ben Kingsley, Ice Cube, Sofia Boutella, Pom Klementieff, Scott Adkins, Shaina West, Lucy Cork, Daniel Bernhardt, Lee Hoon, and Marko Zaror.

The film follows veteran assassin Joe Flood, played by Bautista, who is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness and authorizes a kill on himself to avoid the pain that is destined to follow. After ordering the kill, he finds out that he was misdiagnosed and must then fend off the army of former colleagues trying to kill him.

The movie was announced back in mid-May with Lionsgate purchasing the worldwide rights. Bautista is also an executive producer along with Jonathan Meisner. Scott Lambert, Jake Katofsky, and Vanessa Humphrey will serve as co-producers. Rand Ravich and Simon Kinberg wrote the film and James Coyne did rewrites.
