Owens/Zayn vs The Usos to headline WrestleMania Saturday

For the first time since WrestleMania I, a tag team match will headline WrestleMania as Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn take on The Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team titles. The news of night one main event was broken by Dave Meltzer.

It is also the first time ever that a tag team title match has headlined WrestleMania.

Leading up to the show, the Smackdown Women’s title match between Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley was the top contender to headline WrestleMania Saturday. With last year the women missing out on main eventing a night, it was felt that that this year a women’s match should be the top billing of night one.

But the tag team match was definitely gaining more interest from a storyline perspective and it made more sense to have that headline the show.

This will be Kevin Owen’s second Mania main event and the first for Sami Zayn and The Usos.
