Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah became the new WWE Women’s Tag Team champions last night on Raw after beating Dakota Kai and IYO SKY in the main event.

The match was the conclusion of a tournament which saw the new champions beating Natalya and Sonya Deville twice to advance to the final while Kai and SKY beat Tamina and Dana Brooke in the first round and Alexa Bliss and Asuka in the semi final.

Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, and Asuka made their presence felt during the match, coming out to cause some problems, allowing for a distraction. Aliyah won the match for her team by rolling up IYO SKY for the pinfall.

Belair, Bliss, and Asuka will meet Bayley, Kai, and SKY this Saturday at Clash at the Castle in a six-woman tag team match.

Former champs Sasha Banks and Naomi are also on the verge of returning with rumors being that WWE officials were waiting for the tournament to be completed before bringing the duo back.
