John Cena returns tonight on Monday Night Raw for 20th year celebration

16-time world champion John Cena will be making his return to WWE tonight on Monday Night Raw to celebrate his 20th year anniversary of his debut.

In fact, Cena made his debut 20 years ago to the date on Smackdown, coming out to answer Kurt Angle’s open challenge. The phrase Ruthless Aggression was uttered by Cena for the first time then and as they say, the rest is history.

Raw tonight is live from the Sames Auto Arena in Laredo, Texas, and before Cena was announced, there were around 3,500 tickets sold for the show. Following WWE’s announcement that Cena was going to be there, tickets jumped by over 100% and over 8,000 tickets have now been sold with the arena very close to a complete sell out, with less than 200 tickets remaining.

There are rumors that Cena will also be involved at SummerSlam, with current U.S. champion Theory pushing for a match against him. Theory has been calling out Cena for several weeks now and it did not go unnoticed.
