Killer Kross turned down Wardlow match over creative differences

226

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Wrestling is reporting that Killer Kross was planned to be an opponent for Wardlow on a recent episode of Dynamite as part of the angle with MJF but talks broke down and instead AEW went after Impact’s W. Morrissey.

The report from Fightful Select states that talks between the former NXT champion and AEW broke down after he was presented with the creative. Kross felt, according to the report, that his presentation and AEW debut would not do him any good, comparing it to his WWE main roster loss to Jeff Hardy rather than how he was presented as a monster during his NXT run.

Fightful also adds that Scarlett was not part of the package for his match against Wardlow.

W. Morrissey was brought in instead to wrestle Wardlow and Wardlow walked out with the victory. The deal was one-and-done for Morrissey as he is under contract with Impact Wrestling.
