After six months off television, Mustafa Ali made his return on Raw last night, interrupting the Miz TV segment with Miz and U.S. champion Theory.

Ali requested a title match but Theory denied it, instead putting The Miz in a match against Ali. Ali’s absence was referred to by The Miz, who passed a few comments to Ali, including asking him if he still worked there after he showed up.

Miz also told Ali that he is going to wish he received his walking papers as he was going to beat him, but it was Ali who walked out with the victory.

Ali publicly requested his WWE release in January 2022 but that request was denied. He often aired his frustrations on Twitter and was kept off television after a rumored backstage argument with Vince McMahon over the direction of his character.
