Asuka returns on Raw after nine months out

Following an absence of nine months, former Raw Women’s champion Asuka made her return to Monday Night Raw last night, confronting Becky Lynch.

Lynch was making her first appearance since WrestleMania 38 herself and said that she wasn’t sure about coming out as she hit rock bottom. But when you are down, the only way was up and fans would be lucky to witness her ascension.

Before Lynch departed, Asuka’s music hit the speakers to a big ovation from the crowd. The Empress of Tomorrow told Lynch that no one is ready for Asuka and flicked her nose. Lynch tried to hit Asuka but the Japanese star avoided her and Asuka returned the favor but Lynch escaped as well.

Asuka has been out since July of last year and last appeared at the Money in the Bank event. She was out with an injury during that time and was only recently cleared to return.
