Tony Khan to personally deliver the major announcement tonight on Dynamite

AEW President Tony Khan will be making a major announcement on tonight’s episode of Dynamite on TBS and he will be the one personally delivering the news.

The announcement has been a closely-guarded secret since Khan hinted at it two weeks ago. The plan was to announce something last week but whatever negotiations were going on did not end in time. But Khan has promised that come Wednesday night, he’ll be able to make the announcement and AEW is promoting the segment.

Dropping some hints about it last week, Khan said the announcement isn’t regarding one particular talent and it will be great for the wrestling business, using “something pretty big” and “a big deal” to describe what’s coming.

Rumors of what the announcement might be range from Khan buying Ring of Honor, a streaming deal with HBO Max featuring AEW and ROH, a mega show with New Japan, and others.
