UFC star Colby Covington entered Madison Square Garden for his UFC 268 fight against Kamaru Usman last night to Kurt Angle’s WWE theme song.
The song, called Medal and produced by Jim Johnston, has been played many times in Madison Square Garden during Angle’s WWE days and the fans continued the tradition of chanting “You suck” with the song.
Covington was unsuccessful in winning the UFC Welterweight title and lost to Usman via a unanimous decision.
During the post-show press conference, Covington was asked about professional wrestling considering his choice of theme song for the night.
“I might go to WWE one day,” Covington said. “But I don’t think you’re going to see me in a second-tier promotion like AEW!”
Ouch!
