Nia Jax reportedly fired over lack of COVID-19 vaccination

In a story published by the New York Post it was revealed that Nia Jax was cut from WWE because she is not vaccinated against COVID-19.

The company made a big attempt at having everyone vaccinated for obvious reasons but there were those who chose not to follow suit. Jax was not the only one released due to not being vaccinated and there were a handful of others from the 18 released yesterday who had the same status. Those who are not vaccinated cannot go on overseas tours, which could also complicate things further if there are PPVs or television shows held abroad.

The 37-year-old was one of the surprise cuts, having basically her whole wrestling career with WWE from developmental to main roster. She is also the cousin of Roman Reigns and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, something which was probably considered to be “safe” from getting released unless something extraordinary happened.

Jax has been off WWE television for over a month. She is a former WWE Raw Women’s champion and a two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team champion with Shayna Baszler.
