AEW announces the creation of the TBS Championship for women

The huge announcement promised by Tony Khan on last night’s Dynamite was the creation of the secondary women’s title known as the TBS Championship.

The belt was unveiled by Tony Schiavone and referee Aubrey Edwards in the middle of the ring and this title will be similar to the TNT title for men, currently held by Sammy Guevara.

The first-ever TBS champion will be crowned in an upcoming tournament that will start on the first episode of Dynamite on TBS on January 5, 2022. No participants or any other details were announced.
