The funeral service for Shannon “Daffney” Spruill, who passed away on September 1, will be held today at the Peachtree Corners Chapel of Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory in Peachtree Corners, Georgia.

A reception will be held following the services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that contributions be made in honor of Shannon Claire Spruill to National Alliance on Mental Illness at namiga.org and/or Boston University’s Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy.

In her last live video on Instagram, Spruill asked that her brain be donated to Boston University to be examined for CTE.
