AEW Dark moving to studio tapings

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that AEW will be proceeding with doing studio tapings for Dark moving forward unless Rampage is live on its own.

With the addition of Rampage, AEW now tapes their newest television show after Dynamite and Dark: Elevation before Dynamite. With many matches, the tapings go over the four-hour mark every week and that is a long time to keep the fans’ interest in one sitting.

Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast added that AEW will be setting up show at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, and will hold tapings on a soundstage similar to what Impact used to do. Since the soundstage is part of the theme park, the shows would be free to attend to by those who purchase an entrance ticket to the park.

Rampage will be live multiple times a year so the company will have the opportunity to tape Dark along with Rampage on those particular days.
