Adam Cole a free agent after WWE deal expires

As of today, August 27, former NXT champion Adam Cole is a free agent as his WWE contract has officially expired.

Cole has not signed a new deal with WWE and according to multiple insiders, he is still weighing up his options. Technically, Cole can now also negotiate with other promotions, including AEW, for a possible switch.

Cole had a high-level meeting with Vince McMahon a few weeks ago prior to Smackdown and the creative team were instructed to come up with plans to integrate Cole into the main roster.

But the former leader of the Undisputed Era never signed the new WWE deal and his match against Kyle O’Reilly at Takeover 36 might be his last one for WWE. For now, his profile remains on WWE.COM as an active WWE Superstar but that could soon quickly change.
