WWE to wrap up at the ThunderDome on July 9

The last live WWE show to take place inside the WWE ThunderDome will be the July 9 Smackdown. The July 12 Raw, which will take place from the ThunderDome, will be taped the prior week according to the @WrestleVotes Twitter account.

WWE returns in front of fans starting with the July 16 Smackdown from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, and that will kick off a tour that so far runs until September.

The company’s contract with the Yuengling Center ran till the beginning of August but WWE is vacating the building earlier and hitting the road to return to some sort of normalcy in this pandemic era.

The ThunderDome has been in use since the Smackdown before SummerSlam 2020 and it was a refreshing change following months of live shows from the dark WWE Performance Center. WWE invested in over $20 million in the ThunderDome concept.
