Ricky Starks out for a few months with a fractured neck

AEW’s Ricky Starks is going to be out of in-ring action for at least three months after he was diagnosed with a fractured neck.

Starks suffered the injury when he was wrestling Hangman Page on Dynamite last month and it is believed that he won’t be needing surgery to repair the damage.

Appearing on Busted Open Radio, AEW President Tony Khan said it was AEW’s doctor Michael Sampson who suggested that he get an MRI even though Starks was feeling fine apart from being a little bit sore.

“We didn’t know what to expect,” Khan said. “Rico thought he was going to be okay and it turned out he had a small fracture in his neck.”

Khan said that doctors have advised Starks to sit out and take a few months off to heal. “He has worked so hard to get to this spot. And he would’ve been a big part of Double or Nothing,” Khan added, saying that he cannot say enough good things about him and what he does for the company.
