Gilbert Hardy, the father of Matt and Jeff Hardy, has unfortunately passed away a few days ago.

In a message on social media, Matt wrote, “I love you, Dad. Thanks for making so many sacrifices to give myself & Jeff a fair chance at life. We were blessed to have you for so many years.” He also thanked everyone for the kindness and love they showed to their family during the difficult times.

Jeff was removed from the Andre The Giant Memorial battle royal and was not part of the WrestleMania weekend at all due to his passing. Jeff has been absent from television for quite a few weeks now and it’s believed that it is directly related to this. The former WWE champion did not release any statement on social media.
