New Year’s Evil themed episode of NXT announced for January 6, 2021

NXT will start 2021 with a themed episode on USA Network titled New Year’s Evil.

Set to air on Wednesday, January 6, this will be the first NXT episode of the new year and as history suggests, themed episodes fare better when it comes to viewers in television ratings.

The last themed episode of NXT was in October for Halloween Havoc which was a big hit with fans. The first episode of NXT of 2020 had the NXT Year-End Awards with no matches at all so this is obviously a change in direction.

All Elite Wrestling will also have a themed episode in January titled Beach Break but no date has been announced yet.
