There are several unconfirmed rumors flying around that Ricochet has opted not to sign a new WWE deal and will be leaving the promotion when his deal expires in a few months.

The 31-year-old signed a WWE deal in January 2018 and found instant success wrestling in the NXT brand, winning the NXT North American title, the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic with Aleister Black, and being voted Breakout Star of the Year for 2018 in the NXT Year-End Awards.

But that success did not move to the main roster with him in 2019 and apart from a run with the United States title, Ricochet was lost in the shuffle as it is often the case with NXT stars who get called up to either Raw and Smackdown.

Ricochet, who is dating fellow NXT star and former American Ninja Warrior contestant Kacy Catanzaro, would be eligible to work for any promotion immediately if his contract simply runs out.
