Matt Riddle has filed a civil suit against his #SpeakingOut accuser Samantha Tavel, otherwise known as indie wrestler Candy Cartwright.

The WWE Superstar was accused of sexually assaulting her a few years ago but Riddle, while admitting that he cheated on his wife with her, refused the allegations and said that he never in his life sexually assaulted or abused anyone.

A statement through his lawyer Daniel Rose today said that on July 14, Riddle sought a cyberstalking injunction against his accuser but then dropped it after Tavel “moved on with her life” and the injunction was dropped without prejudice.

“Today, our client has elected to file a civil suit against Ms Tavel for her continued false and defamatory statements that our client sexually assaulted her. No further statements will be made on social media at this time,” the statement read.
