Columbus Police Department launches investigation into Jannetty’s murder claim

The bombshell news from Marty Jannetty, where he appeared to confess to murdering a man when he was 13 years old, has sparked a police investigation according to TMZ.

Jannetty said that a man put his hands on him and dragged him to the back of Victory Lanes bowling alley back in the early 70s, and said that it was the very first time he “made a man disappear,” suggesting the body was eventually thrown in the Chattahoochie River.

The Columbus Police Department in Georgia has now confirmed that they are going to be looking into this allegation.

“The first step will be seeing if we have any missing persons or unidentified remains cases that match the limited information in the post,” a spokesman said.

Jannetty, who is now 60 years old, has since deleted the post from his Facebook page, but many fans took screenshots of the post and the subsequent comments. Jannetty was trending on Twitter as well following his claim.
