While the #SpeakingOut accusations have mainly affected British independent wrestling companies and WWE via their NXT UK brand, there also seems to be the first accusation against a now AEW star: Jimmy Havoc.
Rebecca Crow, Havoc’s former girlfriend, wrote that Jimmy “raped a girl” whilst he was dating her and for now, the survivor wishes to remain anonymous. “It’s worse than emotional abuse. The survivor will tell their story when they’re ready,” Crow wrote.
A long recount of what happened was attached to the tweet, saying that the story happened a couple of years ago when Havoc was touring and the anonymous person went to an after party where she got drunk and hung out with everyone until 9AM the next day.
“I walked him back to his hotel and stupidly went back to his room with him. It was a 20 minute uber home but the thought of a bed within walking distance was so appealing at the time. I’d slept in the same bed with loads of friends of different genders platonically so I didn’t think this would be any different,” she said.
Havoc explained to her that he was in a rough period with his long-term girlfriend and asked if they could make out and keep it a secret. “I was single and figured his relationship was his responsibility so agreed. I should never have agreed to do that, I never should have gone into his f*cking room and I am so, so sorry,” the alleged victim wrote.
“He asked if he could put his dick in me. I said no, because I was on my period. He said he didn’t care. I said no, because I had a tampon in. He put it in me anyway,” she wrote, adding that there was no condom applied.
“In the morning, I was woken up by Jimmy slamming what I can only assume was his head against the outside of the hotel door for about 5 minutes. I’d never felt more unsafe than in that moment because I was unsure if he was going to come back in violent. Thankfully, when he came back in, he was fine, but clearly regretting that we’d slept together. When I left, it was amicable and I wished him a safe journey back for the rest of the tour. I just wanted to get out as quickly as possible,” she added.
The anonymous person then said that she was afraid she could have contracted and STD or HIV due to Havoc’s death match history and went to get tested at a sex clinic after six weeks of pain. “It was thankfully negative but I was very scarred from being so violated that night. Jimmy and I never spoke of the night again, though he told me over DMs a few months later he was now single.”
