Coronavirus or not, WrestleMania 36 to go ahead as planned

WWE has announced that there are zero plans to cancel WrestleMania even after news came that the coronavirus has reached Tampa Bay.

“The health and safety of our fans, performers and employees are our top priorities and we are monitoring the situation closely with our partners and government officials in Tampa Bay. We remain committed to hosting WrestleMania at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday, April 5, and like other entertainment properties in the U.S., there are currently no plans to cancel or postpone our upcoming events,” a WWE statement said.

Sporting events and major conferences around the world were either canceled or postponed and when it comes to sporting events, some games were played with no fans in stadiums. The panic that has hit in other countries has not hit the United States yet and no events have been canceled Stateside.

The major problem will be those fans who are from countries who are banned from entering the United States due to the virus and those fans who visited these banned countries over the past few weeks who will also not be allowed to enter.
