AJ Styles out “indefinitely” with shoulder injury

Former WWE champion AJ Styles is sidelined with an injury and WWE has said that he will be out indefinitely.

Styles suffered the shoulder injury at the Royal Rumble after he took the spear from the returning Edge. Styles flipped mid-air to sell the impact of the spear but landed badly on his left shoulder. After a few minutes, Styles was eliminated by Edge after calling an audible as he was supposed to last longer in the Rumble match.

The WWE statement said though that Styles “is recovering way ahead of doctor’s projections.” A separated shoulder usually takes up to 12 weeks to recover depending on the severity of the injury.
