John Cena to headline panel at SXSW 2013 on WWE’s use of social media

Former WWE champion John Cena will be at the SXSW 2013 event to headline a panel that will talk about WWE’s use of social media to extend WWE’s brand. WWE has more than 137 million social media fans in total.

This panel – which will also include Stephanie McMahon, the Executive Vice President of WWE Creative, and Perkins Miller, Executive Vice President of WWE DIgital Media – will explore how WWE is leveraging creative, media, technology and talent to become one of the most widely respected and successful brands in social TV.

The panel will be moderated by Khris Loux, co-founder and CEO of Echo, a partner with WWE when it comes to social media integration.

If you would like to participate in the “Get Ready to Rumble! How WWE is Crushing Social TV” panel, the event will be held on Saturday, March 9, between 11AM and Noon at the Sheraton Austin Capitol at 701 East 11 Street in Room EFGH.
