Ticket sales for the Raw and Smackdown television tapings at Madison Square Garden set for September have not performed particularly well which is surely a major disappointment for WWE.

Raw has nearly 2,000 tickets left on sale, with a lot of ringside and floor seats still unsold. Most of the ringside seats are going for over $2,000 on Ticketmaster which is not helping things either.

The ticket situation for Smackdown the next night is even more worse, with close to 3,000 tickets unsold. The top 200 section facing the camera is largely unsold and if it remains like this, there will be a lot of use for black tarps to cover unsold seats.

WWE not selling The Garden for television is pretty much unheard of but it also gives you an indication of how bad the live event business for WWE is at the moment.

The company has not taped TV at MSG in a decade and judging by these ticket sales it doesn’t look like they will be returning for TV very often.
