Shad Gaspard and MVP share emotional video watching Kofi win WWE title

Former WWE Superstars Shad Gaspard of Cryme Tyme and MVP watched Kofi Kingston winning the WWE title in a bar with other fans and cried together on the historic occasion.

A video uploaded on Twitter by Gaspard shows the moment that Kofi hits the Trouble in Paradise finisher on Bryan, covering him for the three count. It was then when both of them were overcome with emotion, with MVP trying his best not to cry but eventually letting it all out after Gaspard hugged him.

“So proud and happy to share this moment with one of my brothas,” Gaspard wrote. In an earlier tweet after Kofi won, MVP wrote, “A black man, born in Africa, is the current WWE champion. This just happened.”

Kofi became the second black WWE champion following The Rock, who identifies himself both as black and Samoan, and became also the first African-born WWE champion.
