Charlotte Flair wins the Smackdown’s Women’s title from Asuka

Asuka will not be heading into WrestleMania as the Smackdown Women’s champion afterall as Charlotte Flair regained the title in a surprise match on the show last night.

The Empress of Tomorrow once again fell victim of the Figure Eight leg lock, and just like what happened at WrestleMania 34, she tapped out.

WWE advertised last week a fatal 4-way match between Carmella, Naomi, Mandy Rose, and Sonya Deville where the winner was supposed to get a title shot at WrestleMania against Asuka. That match never happened and now the Smackdown Women’s title will not be defended at WrestleMania.

The WrestleMania main event remains a triple threat match and only Ronda’s Raw Women’s title is on the line.
