If you had any doubts on who is the next big star in WWE, well, last night should have answered all your pending questions: Braun Strowman is the next big thing.
The man dubbed as the “monster among men” absolutely decimated everyone during the SummerSlam main event, power slamming Brock Lesnar through two announce tables, then overturning the remaining announce table on him. Brock even did the stretcher job, although he returned later in the night.
Strowman also destroyed his two other opponents, Seth Rollins and Samoa Joe, but ultimately came short of winning the match as Lesnar got away with the title after an F5 to the night’s favorite heel: Roman Reigns. But the booking of the match was pretty obvious and it was done to make Strowman looking the best out of the bunch.
To the contrary of Strowman, two other individuals seem to be at the bottom of the pack on the WWE roster.
Baron Corbin, who last week lost his Money In The Bank briefcase cash-in, lost decisively and clean to John Cena. Corbin trash-talked his way through most of the match but Cena kept making fun of him leading up to the AA.
The other person who wasn’t so lucky at SummerSlam is Rusev. After losing his wife Lana as his on-screen manager, he doesn’t seem to have found his footing yet. The once big bad monster got RKO’d and a pin in just nine seconds.
