Jerry Lawler and Lita given the boot from WWE TV broadcasts

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE has ditched the services of WWE Hall of Famers Jerry “The King” Lawler and Lita for their Kickoff and pre-show panels.

Lawler and Lita joined Booker T and Renee Young on most panels but they were absent from the TLC pay-per-view. Meltzer adds that the two are now on a Legends deal and are no longer employed full time by WWE. Lita had a backstage role before moving on camera while Lawler was removed from the Smackdown commentary team to join the pre-show panel.

Jerry Lawler had been a staple for WWE commentary for over two decades before he was given the booth while Lita returned full-time after she served as a coach on Tough Enough.
