Samoa Joe gets NXT title rematch at NXT Takeover: Toronto

Samoa Joe will get his NXT title rematch at the upcoming NXT Takeover: Toronto in November, three months after losing it at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn II.

The match was announced by NXT General Manager William Regal after Shinsuke Nakamura made his return on NXT TV on last night’s episode. The current NXT champion was out for a few weeks thanks to an attack by Samoa Joe as part of the storyline.

This will be the first Takeover event in Canada and originally there were only going to be a few non-televised live events, however due to the strong demand, WWE changed them to a Takeover show on the eve of the Survivor Series, booking the Air Canada Centre for three straight nights similar to what they did in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center.

Nakamura and Joe will be headlining the event.
