CM Punk got one of the biggest purses at UFC 203 despite losing his first MMA fight against another relative newcomer Mickey Gall.

Punk received $500,000 for his fight according to figures released by the Ohio Athletic Commission and published by MMAFighting.com. He had a flat fee of half a million which means that had he won there would be have been no win bonus. His opponent, Mickey Gall got $30,000 in total, $15,000 for the fight and another $15,000 as a win bonus.

The only other two who made more than Punk were Stipe Miocic, the UFC Heavyweight champion, and his opponent Alistair Overeem. Miocic got $600,000 while Overeem, who also lost, got the biggest purse of the night with $800,000.
