Two more join the G.L.O.W. Netflix series cast

Two more have joined Netflix’s G.L.O.W. series, a 10-episode comedy inspired by the real story of the 1980s female wrestling league which tells the fictionalized story of Ruth, played by Alison Brie, an out-of-work actress who finds one last chance to live her dreams in the form of a weekly series about female wrestlers.

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Marc Maron and Betty Gilpin has signed up for the series. Maron will play Sam Sylvia, a washed-up Hollywood director who has a very complicated history with women and now must lead 14 of them on the journey to wrestling stardom. Gilpin will portray Debbie Eagan, a former soap star who left show business to have a baby, only to be sucked back in when her picture-perfect life is not what it seems.

The series was picked up by Netflix at the end of May.
