WWE.COM publishes UFC videos promoting Lesnar’s UFC 200 fight

With Brock Lesnar – an under-contract WWE Superstar – now in the main event of UFC 200, WWE is now help “promoting” the fight, uploading different UFC-produced videos of Lesnar preparing for his fight against Mark Hunt on both the WWE YouTube account and WWE.COM.

There are two videos on WWE.COM so far, one of 7 minutes explaining Lesnar’s career in the UFC and his return, and the other an 11-minute in-depth sit-down interview with UFC’s Megan Olivi.

In a recent interview with the Business Insider, Stephanie McMahon said that WWE is not supporting Lesnar’s fight and they won’t do any cross-promotion with the UFC. “In Brock Lesnar’s case it was really a special case that we are allowing him to do this fight. We are not supporting the fight necessarily but, again, it’s not a competitor to us and the more that our superstars, that’s how we refer to our talent, the more they do outside of WWE, the more awareness it generates and the broader the audience can be that is then brought back into our properties. So we recognize the value of that,” McMahon said.

In typical Lesnar fashion, he told the press during a conference call that he does not care what Stephanie says or thinks.
