WWE Network now in 5 more countries including Germany and Japan

The WWE Network launched in five new countries today and it’s now available in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and Japan.

All five listed countries will get the U.S. version of the network for $9.99 including the 12 pay-per-views live. For now, the WWE Network will be available on desktop, laptop and mobile devices, followed by Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Sony PlayStation 3, Sony PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Roku and Smart TVs in time for the Royal Rumble.

Germany was the last big market in Europe to adopt the Network due to contractual obligations with the local broadcaster while there were similar problems in Japan as well. The new subscribers from these countries will get their first month free which includes the Royal Rumble.

The free month is expected to stop in March or April temporarily as WWE maximizes its revenues for WrestleMania.
