CM Punk vs Sheamus headlines first WWE Main Event show

WWE is bringing the big guns for the first main event for the new WWE Main Event show on ION Television on October 3.

As announced on Smackdown, the current WWE champion CM Punk will be taking on the current World Heavyweight champion Sheamus in their first-ever one on one meeting.

All matches for Main Event will be taped on Tuesdays before the Smackdown tapings.

Main Event premieres on Wednesday, October 3, at 8PM ET on ION Television.
