The current NXT champion Kevin Owens made his debut on Monday Night Raw yesterday, taking out John Cena with the pop-up power bomb in his first segment.

Owens answered John Cena’s U.S. title open challenge however did not wrestle Cena, only to attack him at the end of the segment and then stepping on the U.S. title while giving Cena the “you can’t see me” hand gesture.

The 31 year old Canadian spent 14 years on the indy scene, wrestling for Combat Zone Wrestling, PWG, and Ring of Honor before finally catching a break and getting signed by WWE. Owens made his debut at the NXT Takeover: R Evolution live event in December of last year and won the NXT championship just two months after making his debut.

Meanwhile, Karina Steen, the wife of Kevin Owens, posted a video of their son Owen who was super surprised as he saw his father live on television coming out for his segment with John Cena.
