Bobby Lashley regains the TNA World title

TNA crowned a new World champion last night on Impact as Bobby Lashley recaptured the title for the second time.

Lashley defeated Bobby Roode in the main event of Impact on Destination America in the third match between the two. The MMA fighter won his first title on June 19 of last year, defeating Eric Young, and then lost it to Roode on the October 28 edition of Impact. Since the match was taped back in September, Lashley missed the Bound For Glory live pay-per-view in October.

Rumors were that Lashley was removed as the champion since he had an MMA fight on Bellator coming up and the company didn’t want to risk having their champion losing a mixed martial arts fight. Lashley ended up winning that MMA fight.
