TNA to air Lockdown on Impact instead of pay-per-view

One of TNA’s few remaining pay-per-views, Lockdown, will now be airing as part of Impact with tapings being held on Friday, January 9, at the Manhattan Center in New York.

All matches during this broadcast will be inside the 6 sides of steel including the main event known as Lethal Lockdown.

The decision to put a former pay-per-view on free television was done to start Impact on Destination America on a good note and it’s not known if Lockdown will be replaced with another show for pay-per-view.

Lockdown – which usually airs in March – was a PPV only event along with Sacrifice, Slammiversary, and Bound For Glory last year.

TNA will be taping several weeks worth of TV shows during three days in New York so most likely the Lockdown episode will still air in either late February or early March.
