Elimination Chamber PPV rumored to be scrapped or moved from February

There are several rumors that WWE is removing the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view from February and changing the name to Fast Lane.

In the past the Elimination Chamber was used to determine the number one contender for the World Heavyweight title for WrestleMania, with the winner of the Royal Rumble more often than not chasing the WWE title. But now there’s only one major title and there’s no reason to have a gimmick match a month before Mania.

The event might be moved at a later month, possibly to determine the number one contender for the title for SummerSlam although it’s not known if the whole PPV will be moved or the Elimination Chamber match would be part of a different pay-per-view.
