Former WWE and WCW Superstar Sean O’Haire passes away

Former WWE and WCW Superstar Sean O’Haire passed away on Monday in his home in Spartanburg, South Carolina, according to an entry on Tributes.com. He was 43 years old.

No cause of death has been released at time of this writing.

O’Haire trained for professional wrestling at the WCW Power Plant and then made his WCW debut in June 2000 during an episode of Nitro. There he teamed with Mark Jindrak and later with Chuck Palumbo.

He moved to WWE when WCW purchased WCW and made his WWE debut in June 2001, almost a year to the date following his WCW debut. There he kept his tag team with Chuck Palumbo before being sent to Ohio Valley Wrestling and then brought back as a singles competitor.

O’Haire was later moved in a program with Rowdy Roddy Piper where Piper served as his manager but the angle didn’t last long as Piper was released. He last wrestled for WWE in April 2004.

He was also a mixed martial artist and kick boxer, fighting both in K-1 and Pride.

A Celebration of Life visitation will be held on Saturday, September 13, between 1PM and 3PM at his home at 510 Hampton Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29306.
