JR’s WWE commitments officially end today

Today is the last day that WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross can legally say he works for WWE, and while JR has been doing his own thing since announcing his retirement back in September of last year, his deal with WWE officially comes to an end today.

“It’s a day filled w/ mixed emotions. WWE tenure ends officially @ midnight. Great run. Best 21 years ever. Now..what’s next? Lots,” wrote Ross on his Twitter today.

The man who many consider the best ever play-by-play guy in wrestling history also said that it was the best business decision ever when he decided to embark on the WWE journey back in 1993.

“Grateful to all involved,” Ross added, as his Twitter got flooded with congratulatory remarks from fans, co-workers, and even folks over from TNA Wrestling who he never worked for.

His WWE run was not always smooth sailing, getting fired a couple of times throughout the years, but always coming back even stronger, proving his doubters wrong and raising the bar even higher every time he was tasked with announcing any big matches.

The wrestling world would always be a better place with guys like Ross around, especially when it comes to commentary and wrestling fans are lucky to have had such a great human being calling the action for decades!
