AJ Styles favorite to take Shawn Michaels’ spot at WWE Performance Center and NXT

With the news of Shawn Michaels tapped to take over the role of Bruce Prichard once he retires next year, the next question was who will be taking over Michaels in his role as Senior Vice President of Talent Development and Creative and head of NXT.

Bryan Alvarez of F4W wrote that the candidate most likely taking HBK’s seat is none other than fellow Hall of Famer AJ Styles, who retired from in-ring competition in January of this year.

Styles is currently helping out at the WWE Performance Center in one of the classes, replacing Terry Taylor who had to undergo surgery.

NXT could also get an injection of new blood running it, with Alvarez mentioning CM Punk as someone who could step up and add more to his plate by spending additional time in Orlando. The former WWE champion has often mentioned that he would like to be more involved in the development of future stars.
