Report: Bruce Prichard retiring from WWE next year

PWInsider.com is reporting that Bruce Prichard, WWE’s Executive Director of Creative Writing and Talent, is scheduled to retire from his current position after WrestleMania 43 in April.

Prichard, who is the point man when Triple H is not around at shows, will remain as a consultant but will not be working live events or even report to WWE Headquarters in Stamford.

The 63-year-old has been working for WWE since 2018, and had previous stints from 1987 to 1991 and 1992 to 2008. During McMahon’s regime, Prichard was probably the second most powerful man in the company and was a trusted lieutenant of the former WWE Chairman and CEO.

Prichard assumed his current role in 2020 after the Executive Director role was previously split between Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff for a brief period, with each of them leading Raw and Smackdown respectively.
