Cody Rhodes’ new WWE deal goes for five years

In a story published by the New York Times to promote the Street Fighter movie, the publication revealed that Cody Rhodes signed a new five-year deal with WWE.

Last week, Rhodes announced on the Flagrant podcast that he will end his wrestling career in WWE after signing a new long-term deal, but did not reveal for how long it is.

The five-year contract will take Cody up to 2031 unless he’s convinced to stay around for longer, although he did make it sound multiple times in the past that the new contract would be his last one as far as an active wrestler goes.

Rhodes is tipped to still be employed by WWE following the ending of his in-ring career.
