WWE officially moves to Netflix in Japan starting today

WWE has officially moved to Netflix in Japan starting today, with Raw, Smackdown, NXT, all premium live events, and the catalog that is available in other countries also made available in the Land of the Rising Sun.

WWE’s previous media rights deal with streaming service ABEMA ended yesterday and the company transitioned swiftly to Netflix, joining almost the rest of the world.

Japan’s addition to Netflix now leaves just China, South Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, Austria, Germany, and Switzerland with their own separate TV deals. PLE’s in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland are already on Netflix, but not the weekly TV shows.
