WWE running tryout camp in China

WWE is currently holding its first tryout camp in China, headed up by WWE Performance Center coaches.

Triple H, the brain behind NXT and the WWE Performance Center, joined the festivities as well, flying in from England following the Download Festival in the weekend. NXT head coach Matt Bloom is running the camp along with Robbie Brookside and William Regal. Canyon Ceman, WWE’s Senior Director of Talent Development, is present as well. John Cena is rumored to be joining the group today or tomorrow.

China, one of the world’s biggest markets, remains largely untapped by WWE and is the last remaining big country without the WWE Network. Several regulations imposed by the communist government prevents many companies from doing business, or better yet, limits what one can do, in China. WWE has an office in Shanghai to help facilitate making business there.
