WWE extends TV distribution agreement in Spain for two more years

WWE and ATRESMEDIA today announced an extension to their television distribution agreement in Spain for two more years through 2016.

“We are very excited to continue our partnership with WWE, something we started a year ago with a clear plan to build the brand consistently for the future in Spain. The results are already here and we think that WWE together with ATRESMEDIA is a perfect match both for the audience and for the brand strength,” said Jose Antonio Anton, Director of Programming and Complementary Channels, ATRESMEDIA.

Since originally partnering in 2013, the ratings for WWE’s Raw and SmackDown have more than doubled over the past year. The shows air on ATRESMEDIA’s channel NEOX.

“WWE is thrilled to extend our partnership with ATRESMEDIA in Spain for another two years,” said Gerrit Meier, Executive Vice President, International, WWE. “This agreement is a great example of the integrated approach we take with our partners around the world to promote both our television programming and live events to ensure significant growth of our brand.”
