Women’s division on Smackdown gets its own title

The Women’s division on Smackdown was not left out last night on the show and just like the tag teams, the division also got its Smackdown Women’s title. The new champion will also be crowned at the Backlash WWE Network event, taking place on September 11.

As expected, the Smackdown WWE Women’s title has the exact same design as the WWE Women’s title on Raw, complete with the white leather strap. Instead of a red center plate however there’s a blue one that represents Smackdown.

The women’s division on Smackdown is not as strong as the one on Raw but a six-pack challenge will determine the new champion. Those participating are Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss, Naomi, Carmella, Natalya, and Nikki Bella, who returned last Sunday at SummerSlam.
